Yang Weicai got his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the Department of Biology of Lanzhou University in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Currently, he is the director and professor of the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yang Weicai was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in November of 2021.
